Our International Students (fee paying) met with Mayor Damon Odey today as part of their annual ‘welcome to the South Canterbury District’ event. It was certainly great to be a part of this event and to see all the different cultures that are part of the South Canterbury Education system.
Congratulations to Sofia Lawless, Kea Nukada, Hunter Chittock, Sienna Franklin and Georgiana Martin who have all auditioned successfully for the South Canterbury Junior Drama League show, Suessical. They’ve been busy frantically rehearsing for the show that runs from the 12-14th April. There will be two shows for $20 this year, with the 8-13 year olds performing Suessical and the 13-18 year olds performing Hairspray. Sounds like a great show!
ANZAC POPPIES
With Anzac Day fast approaching the Student Council will be in classes selling poppies for a gold coin after the morning roll for the rest of the term. Poppies are also available for sale in the School Office.
DISCOVERY TIME
The teachers in Learning Team 1 are keen to offer wood craft as one of our outdoor activities. We are in need of offcuts of wood for the children, if anyone has any spare. These can be given to any of the teachers in our learning team. Thanks in advance!
