What a great turnout to our annual school picnic last Thursday night. Once again we lucked in the weather and we were all able to enjoy a laid back evening of fun and games. Our cover stars this week look as though they are having the time of their lives at the picnic!

Tomorrow we will be running a House Group Fun afternoon. We’ve got 18 different fun activities organised for the afternoon all designed to promote our House Groups. Tomorrow will also be a House Group Colours Mufti Day. Please come along dressed in your house colours. Please note that the mufti day will go ahead irrespective of what the weather is planning to do! For the record; Kiwi is Orange, Kereru is Red, Kea is Green, Kotuku is Yellow and Kakapo is Blue.

Meet the Teacher Parent Interviews for our Yr 3-8 students (Learning Teams 2,3 and 4) are set to run next Wednesday 20th February and Thursday 21st. These interviews are designed for parents who have students new to the class or Learning Team to meet their teachers. Interview times can be booked by going to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and entering the event code 8gxf5. Bookings close on Monday. As we have done in the past, the school will be closed on the Wednesday from 2:00pm. Thursday will be normal closing time at 3:00pm. We will be providing supervision at school from 2:00pm in the Library on the Wednesday. If you can’t pick up your child/ren at 2:00pm and would like them to be supervised then please notify the office ASAP.

Please note that Learning Team 1 (Rms 1,2,3,4 and 17) are starting their swimming sessions next week. Because of this Learning Team 1 won’t be finishing early on Wednesday, and will finish at 3:00pm as usual when they come back from swimming.

Our Board of Trustees met for the first time on Monday night. The Board would like to welcome Julia Brunton and Beth Park onto the BOT as new parent representatives through until the BOT elections in early June.

Finally just a reminder that children need to be collected from school daily at 3pm. If parents think they will be running late, children will wait at their classroom, or outside the school office. Please don’t arrange to pick them up from playground as we can’t keep an eye on them during this time.

Congratulations to all the students who were awarded Principal Awards at our assembly last Friday.
